Calling all Buskers & Unsigned Talent!

Play Lomond Unplugged! 🎤

Do you dream of performing live on stage with the stunning backdrop of Loch Lomond behind you?
Loch Lomond Shores is thrilled to launch our Busking Competition, offering unsigned singer/songwriters the chance to showcase their talent at our upcoming Lomond Unplugged event in May!

We’re searching for passionate and talented buskers and singer/songwriters to bring their unique sound to our festival. Whether you’re a seasoned street performer or a hidden gem waiting to be discovered, we want to hear from you!

How to Enter:

• Record a video: Capture your best performance! This could be a live busking session or a dedicated video showcasing your original songs or favourite covers – make sure it’s no more than 2 minutes long, recorded in 1080p with an aspect ratio of 9:16 (portrait mode)
  Send us your video:
• Upload your video via the form on this page and include: Your name, contact information (phone/email), a brief bio, and a link to your social media or online profiles
  OR – You can email your video file to anne@lochlomondshores.com with the subject line “Lomond Unplugged Busking Competition.”
• OR – Upload your video file to https://wetransfer.com/ and send it to anne@lochlomondshores.com – & make sure you provide all the relevant contact details in the message section
• Our judges will pick the TOP 16 entries to perform live on stage on Saturday 24th May
• Performances will be uploaded online and a combination of public and judges votes will decide the TOP 8 who will play again on Sunday 25th May
• Our judges will then choose the overall winner and announce it during the Festival Finalé on Sunday, the 25th, before 5pm.

Deadline for submissions: 5pm on Friday 2nd May 2025.

The Winners’ Prize:

One Lucky winner will receive £1,000 Prize money from our organisers, SHS Events, to get you started in your professional music career; whether you put it towards new equipment, recording your first album, or marketing your personal brand, this money will go a long way to helping you get started!

Terms and Conditions

1. The competition closes at 5pm on Friday, 2nd May ’25, and the top 16 entries chosen to perform will be notified before 5pm on Monday, 19th. (Please keep the 24th & 25th free in case you are picked!)
2. Performance fees/expenses are NOT provided. You must make your own arrangements for getting to the venue in time.
3. All musicians must bring their own instruments and equipment – the stage & sound system/engineer will be provided
